E.L.F. Holiday Mini-haul (swatches included)

I was wandering around my local Target recently and I walked past an end-cap that had the E.L.F. Holiday collection pieces! I was immediately attracted by the super sparkly packaging.

They have a lot of options in their holiday collection, but I actually already own a lot of what they have out, it just didn't come in sparkly packaging. I picked up the nailpolish set and the glitter eye collection. I may go back to pick up one or two things, but I'm not really sure yet.

Let's move on to swatches!

First I'm going to show the nail polishes.

The E.L.F. holiday nail polish collection comes with 5 of their full size nail polishes for $5. They are usually sold for $2 each on their website, I believe. So you get them for 50% off!

From L to R : Golden Goddess, Metal Madness, Royal Purple, Red Velvet, and Mod Mauve. This is 2 coats of each.

Golden Goddess has a clear base with fine gold glitter and large, holographic-ish glitter.

Metal Madness is a gunmetal gray with multi-color super fine glitter. I'm really excited about this color.

Royal Purple is a pretty, bright purple color. You can't really tell from my swatch but it has some super fine silver glitter in it too.

Red Velvet is self explanatory. It's a nice red shade. No glitter at all. This will be really nice during the holidays.

and lastly, Mod Mauve is a dark, dusty rose color. This shade also doesn't have any sparkle.

These all went on smoothly, including the ones with glitter, which is nice as most inexpensive nail polishes with glitter tend to dry and be lumpy/gritty. The only thing I didn't expect was how bad these would smell. Most nail polish has a pungent odor, but this was bad. But it goes away as it dries so it's worth it.

Next is the glitter eye shadow collection! This was also $5. So you get 9 eyeshadows and a black eyeliner for $5. Amazing deal. This is why I love E.L.F.! The packaging didn't list any color names. These look glittery in the pans, but once you put them on they are more matte-ish than glitter. But that's OK. The colors are pretty!

As you can see, they're pretty well pigmented. I swatched over a layer of NYX skin tone eyeshadow base. Again, not very glittery but still very nice. The dark blue on the end is my favorite. It will be awesome for a winter-y eye look that I like to do for holiday parties!

All-in-all, this is a great steal for $10.00 total. As I had stated earlier, they have a *lot* of products in their holiday collection priced from $1-$15. I would recommend these to everyone! They'll make great stocking stuffers or just to give as gifts to your favorite ladies!

I was thinking about coming up with some looks using the glitter eyeshadows. Comment and let me know if you'd be interested in seeing a post on them!
